There’s a lot of buzz around Apple’s iPhone 5 around as most countries are still waiting to get their hands on the device. India is among the third wave of countries where the iPhone 5 will be available. This potentially points to a late October launch of the device. Fans of Apple in India have reason to rejoice though, as some stores have begun selling the iPhone 5.

Some stores in the grey market have announced their pricing for Apple’s latest smartphone, and the prices are as high as Apple’s other devices. The 16 GB version is available in the grey market for approximately Rs 76,000, the 32GB version for Rs 85,000, and the 64GB version of the iPhone 5 is available at Rs 1,00,000.

3 Interview Questions That Reveal Everything

Employee fit is crucial. Here's a simple way to know if a job candidate is right for your business.

Getty,909 inShare
Interviewing job candidates is tough, especially because some candidates are a lot better at interviewing than they are at working.
To get the core info you need about the candidates you interview, here's a simple but incredibly effective interview technique I learned from John Younger, the CEO of Accolo, a cloud recruiting solutions provider. (If you think you've conducted a lot of interviews, think again: Younger has interviewed thousands of people.)
Here's how it works. Just start from the beginning of the candidate's work history and work your way through each subsequent job. Move quickly, and don't ask for detail. And don't ask follow-up questions, at least not yet.
Go through each job and ask the same three questions:
1. How did you find out about the job?
2. What did you like about the job before you started?
3. Why did you leave…

Seven reasons to buy the Nokia Lumia 920

The Nokia Lumia 920 was shown off in New York last week and after checking out all of the coverage, I can say without a doubt that I will be purchasing one as soon as they are released. The color I choose will depend on which carrier(s) in the US get the high end Lumia, but with three carrier contracts I know at least one of my carriers will get the device. Based on just what we know so far, Microsoft was very tight lipped about Windows Phone 8, I have seven main reasons I think the Lumia 920 is the device for me.
Reason one: PureMotion HD+ display The Nokia Lumia 900 has a ClearBlack display and some testing earlier this year revealed that the Lumia 900 has a better outdoor display than the iPhone 4S and Galaxy S. Nokia is now taking that ClearBlack display technology to the next level and showed us all their PureMotion HD+ technology that looks to be the leading display on smartphones today.
The PureMotion HD+ display automatically adjusts to sunlight glare, has those …

121 Megapixel Earth

Download Full Image
A Russian weather satellite has taken a 121 megapixel image of planet Earth, over 22,000 miles above the surface. The image was taken by Russia's Electro-L satellite, and unlike other images taken by spacecrafts, it was taken in one single shot.
Normally, several images are taken by a space agency, then are stitched together in order to create one big image. However, Roscosmos went about it another way with its 121 megapixel photo. Each pixel in the image represents a little over a half-mile of the Earth's surface. The Electro-L satellite captures a picture of this quality every half-hour to monitor the weather on Earth. If a strange weather pattern is seen, the Russian operators can remotely command the satellite to take images every 10 minutes.

The image uses a combination of visible and near-infrared wavelengths to make-up the image, so vegetation is seen as red, rather than green. The Russian satellite, which launched in January 2011, sits in an orbit t…

Top 5 worst Android phones ever

We trawl the Android graveyard to bring you the handsets that were dead on arrival. Android's charge to the top of the smartphone tree has been driven by some genuinely stellar smartphones. But for every belting blower running the OS, there's been a fair few flops that brought shame and dishonour on the platform. Here's our very idiosyncratic guide to the worst Android phones of all time. 1 T-Mobile G1
Tech types often dub the T-Mobile G1 'the O.G of Android phones'. That’s purely because it was the first one. In no sense does that bad-ass sobriquet reflect that the phone is a bad-ass bit of kit. Glitchy and laggy, it wasn't much fun to use. Then there was the way it rinsed the battery. And that’s before you even get to its trifling 192MB of internal storage space that meant that getting OS updates was a no-no very early on the handset's lifecycle. But sealing the deal was that because G1 featured a physical QWERTY keyboard and racked up a million or so sale…

How Far Can Science Extend Human Longevity?

What's the Latest Development?
The United Nations currently predicts that average life expectancy will climb to near 100 years sometime in the 22nd century. That prediction has been made possible by advances in anti-aging science which include new research on healthy living and preventative medicine, genetics, regeneration and machine solutions. More generally, aging has been discovered as a risk factor for a host of diseases, including heart disease and cancer, making it an important locus of research as medical science moves beyond infectious diseases and begins to tackle more complex disabilities.

What's the Big Idea?
Genetic manipulation has resulted lowering instances of diseases such as inflammation and diabetes, helping to prolong life.
